Lufthansa uses an Airbus A350 for its flights to Seoul, regardless of whether you fly via Frankfurt or Munich. The flight to Seoul takes roughly 11 hours, while the flight back takes around 12h30. SWISS will also begin flying to Seoul in April 2026. There, you’ll sit in an Airbus A340 for roughly 13 hours. For the flights within Europe, you’ll be seated in economy class. Personally, within the Travel-Dealz team, we prefer Lufthansa’s premium economy compared to SWISS’s seats, as they are better suited for sleeping.
Lufthansa offers a very good seat that’s available on long-haul flights from and to Frankfurt and Munich. The rest of the experience, however, is nothing special. At the airport you enjoy 0 (zero!) benefits as a premium economy passenger, and the food onboard is not exactly great either. At least you get to bring 2 x 23 kg of luggage.

Some EU citizens can enter South Korea visa-free and stay for up to 90 days until the end of 2025. Please check if you have to register via K-ETA before starting your trip.
Search & Book
The fare rules do not say how long the offer is valid. The minimum stay requirement is 6 days, and you need to book at least 40 days before departure. Departures are scattered from January to November 2026.
You can find suitable dates via our calendar above or with the help of Google Flights. You can then book the flights directly on Lufthansa.com.
Editor’s Note: When departing from Hungary, you might occasionally find a cheaper fare, either with LOT or one of the many Chinese carriers serving the airport. But this offer is still very good. From Portugal, there is no cheaper way to get to South Korea with additional legroom. A bonus is that Lufthansa’s A350s feature one of the best Premium Economy hard products I know.

what is the max stopover in tokyo?
24 hours
hi, can you for example take this flight, but instead of Sould finish the trip in Tokyo and a week later to fly back and simply resume the flight from Tokyo?
Hi Waslow! That is not possible. If you don’t fly a single segment, all consecutive segments will be voided. So if you don’t board the flight to Seoul, all other flights will be cancelled.
